Lower Colorado River Authority and Pedernales Electric Cooperative representatives presented a $44,950 grant to Bertram Volunteer Fire Department on May 23. The department will use the grant for defibrillators and to repair the fire station’s roof. The grant is part of the LCRA’s Community Development Program. Bertram Volunteer Fire Department gets new roof thanks to LCRA and PEC grant

FROM STAFF REPORTS BERTRAM — After suffering through many days and nights under a bad roof, Bertram Volunteer Fire Department crews as well as residents seeking refuge in storms, will have a new roof over their heads thanks to a Lower Colorado River Authority and Pedernales Electric Cooperative grant.
