It seems the only ones that really respect 1431 are the ones that grew up here. If you did then you most likely lost a friend to that highway, or more than one. It is a beautiful highway to drive (especially when the blue bonnets are in bloom) but it deserves a great amount of respect! My heart hurts to hear of another loss to it and sadly reminds me of all of the ones that were lost to it before. Be safe!
Regarding 1431 wreck. I live just off 1431 and I drive on the site of the accident nearly daily. I’ve noticed more and more drivers trying to pass in those dangerous no passing zones.
1431 is so dangerous. I live on it and people drive to fast and do not pay attention. Prayers for all involved in another tragedy out here. Prayers for the family who lost a loved one and for the injured. Thank you first responders.
I travel that road some for work and 3 wks ago a truck veered into my lane and knocked my side mirror off!! I feel fortunate that it was not worse. They never even slowed down either!! That road is TERRIBLE!!
I think a road is a safe as the person driving the car. For what ever reason, so sad for the other driver who was in the right lane and was hit by an out of control car. Prayers for that victims recovery. There is NO Place a person has to be, that a slower safer drive is not worth the slow down and lives saved.
