AUSTIN – Architect Raymond A. Gill Jr. of Horseshoe Bay has been appointed to the Lower Colorado River Authority board by Gov. Rick Perry.

The authority manages water supply, produces electricity and protects water quality for the Highland Lakes and 2 million residents and customers along the lower Colorado River.

Perry appointed Gill to the LCRA board earlier this week.

Officials said the Horseshoe Bay resident will serve six years. The term expires Feb. 1, 2017.
