Mustang angler Stripling credits captain, team in state title win
AZLE — Hours before he was crowned the 2012 Texas Bass Federation champion in the 15- to 18-year-old division June 16, Marble Falls High School junior Ben Stripling gathered his angler club teammates together.
“One of us is going to be a state champion today,” he told them.
After winning the title himself, he said, “I never thought I’d be a state champion at anything.”
