BURNET — The Burnet Middle School seventh-grade volleyball teams have had a busy week.

The A team defeated Llano 25-20, 25-9, while the B team won 25-12, 25-20 on Sept. 26.

Coach Holly Schilling said the A team had to fight through some miscues during the first game against Llano.

“The Lady Pups lacked a little on communication and made a few errors but were able to come out with a win,” she said. “The second game turned out better as the girls stepped up and played the way they know how and took care of business.”

Izzy Ramon opened the B team match by winning 12 points in a row.

“Llano was unable to return the ball,” Schilling said. “The Lady Pups did a great job and took this game pretty quickly. They struggled a bit in the second game but were able to put Llano away.”

The B team remains undefeated with the victory, Schilling said.

“I am proud of the confidence these girls play with every game,” she said. “Teamwork and heart play a factor in the wins these girls have been racking up.”
