MARBLE FALLS — Several Marble Falls High School graduates are making contributions to their new college athletic programs.

Offensive lineman Cyril Lemon, a 2011 graduate, is starting for the University of North Texas in Denton. He is one of seven redshirt and true freshmen to start for the team.

Tight end David Morgan (2011) already has seven receptions for 130 yards for the University of Texas at San Antonio (1-2), ranking third on the squad. He caught the Roadrunners’ first touchdown in a 45-22 loss to Southern Utah on Sept. 17. He’s averaging 18.6 yards a catch.

Catcher Mackinzee Mayfield (2011) hit a three-run home run for Cisco College on Sept. 17 against Clarindon. It was Mayfield’s first collegiate homer. Cisco will play Concordia University in Austin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 8.

Linebacker Thor Woerner (2009) recorded about 10 tackles for Abilene Christian (1-1) in its 23-17 loss to North Alabama on Sept. 17.

Soccer player Jeronimo Aguilar (2011) is playing at McMurry University in Abilene. The freshman midfielder is majoring in biochemistry and aims to be a pharmacist after graduation.
