Lady Pups defeat Lampasas squads
LAMPASAS — The Burnet Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team picked up two wins against Lampasas Middle School on Sept. 8.
The Lady Pups A team won 25-16, 25-15, while the B team was victorious 25-17, 25-16.
The seventh-grade A team did a great job all around, coaches said.
The Lady Pups were aggressive at the net with several good attacks from the front row, coaches said.
The Badgers had a hard time receiving the Lady Pups’ serve, coach Holly Schilling said.
The top servers were Reagan Giesenschlag, with eight straight points, Madeline Cheney and Kendall Rex.
The B team’s top servers were Shea Henry, with nine straight points, and Samantha Hawkins.
“I am very proud of the way these girls stepped up and played,” Schilling said. “The remainder of the season looks bright if the Lady Pups continue to have the same work ethic they have had the past few weeks. This is a very coachable group of girls, and I am proud of the effort they put out every day.”
