Lady Mustangs open up district with No. 1 Lake Travis
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team’s big moment is here.
The Lady Mustangs open District 25-4A play against defending state champion Lake Travis, which features five players who have committed to playing college volleyball. The match is 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at Lake Travis High School, 3322 RR 620 in Lake Travis.
The Lady Cavs (28-0) are led by senior Amy Neal, a University of Texas recruit, who helped her team capture the state title a season ago.
Since then, Lake Travis players have added a national championship while playing for the Austin Juniors, a standout volleyball club in the Austin area.
The Lady Cavs are ranked No. 1 in Class 4A and No. 1 nationally by PrepVolleyball.com.
