Cen-Tex youth softball team holding tryouts Aug. 18 and 21 in Marble Falls
MARBLE FALLS — The Cen-Tex Crew 12-and-under softball team is holding tryouts for the fall season.
The tryouts are 10 a.m. Aug. 18 or 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at Scearce Softball Field, 2101 Mustang Drive on the Marble Falls High School campus.
Players are encouraged to arrive early to fill out paperwork, stretch and warm up.
The team consists of players born in 1999, 2000 and 2001. All positions are open, coaches said.
In the spring, Crew softball teams included players from Marble Falls, Burnet, Bertram, Llano, Granite Shoals, Kingsland, Johnson City and Liberty Hill.
Coaches anticipate playing in weekend tournaments during the months of September, October, November and December.
The tournaments may be in Waco, Temple, Austin, Taylor, San Antonio, Round Rock and Seguin.
