Lady Dawgs sign to play college volleyball, softball
BURNET — Burnet High School seniors Savannah Erskine and Ashten Huddleston signed May 13 to play college volleyball and softball.
Erskine, a defensive specialist, will play at Texas Lutheran University. Huddleston has decided to represent Hardin-Simmons University.
The duo were honored at a signing ceremony in the lobby of The Doghouse.
Erskine will follow in the footsteps of her high school coach, Bethany Grissom, who played at TLU in the early 2000s.
“I’m proud that she’s going to Texas Lutheran, it’s where I graduated, playing volleyball, so I can’t wait to go watch her play there,” Grissom said.
Erskine said she is looking forward to playing on the next level.
