Faith may move up to 11-man competition
MARBLE FALLS — Faith Academy officials always had a goal of moving from a six-man football team to an 11-man team.
For a number of reasons, officials conducted a meeting Tuesday to ask for input from parents regarding the issue.
But Administrator Mark Earwood and athletic director John Berkman emphasized the school isn’t close to making a decision.
“We’re still exploring options,” Berkman said. “We’re not at the point where we’re ready. We’re looking out for the best interests of our school.”
Both said the meeting went well.
“The families heard the information we had acquired,” the athletic director said. “We’re looking at what it will take for us to move forward. We allowed the parents to explain concerns from both sides of the issue. I felt it was a very successful meeting.”
