Marble Falls can’t get its offense going against Dripping Springs in district loss

MARBLE FALLS — Glimmers of hope shined for the Marble Falls High School football team Friday against Dripping Springs thanks to its defense.

They recovered fumbles, caught interceptions and forced punts. But it wasn’t enough as the Mustangs (4-4, 1-3) lost to the Tigers (7-2, 4-1) 17-0.

“I thought our defense stepped in and played a heck of a ball game,” head coach Cord Woerner said. “The coaches and kids did a very good job.”
