FROM STAFF REPORTS

LLANO — Scheduled inspection of the Llano River bridge on Texas 16 and 71 will close traffic to just one lane Sept. 10-11.

Ken Shaffer, the Llano maintenance supervisor, said the Texas Department of Transportation inspection is standard every few years.

From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 and 11, flaggers at each end of the bridge will stop one lane of traffic to allow the other to pass while crews inspect the bridge.

Anyone planning to drive across the bridge during those times should expect delays.

If needed, call the city’s maintenance office at (325) 247-5146 for more information.
