KILLEEN — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team earned a big road victory against Killeen Ellison in three sets on Aug. 27.

The Lady Mustangs won 25-23, 25-22, 25-23. Marble Falls had a three-match sweep with the junior varsity and freshman squads also winning.

“I am very proud of the performance of all of our teams tonight,” head coach Julie Downs said. “We played as a cohesive unit, worked together to achieve victories and made plays when necessary.”

The Lady Mustangs now set their sights on their weekend event: the Ragin’ Rattler Tournament hosted by San Marcos.

“This will allow us a chance to further establish a consistency in our play,” Downs said.

Marble Falls at San Marcos Ragin’ Rattler Volleyball Tournament on Aug. 30-31. Pool play is against Taft at 3 p.m., against Edison at 4 p.m. and against Huntington at 6 p.m. at San Marcos High School practice gym, 1301 Texas 123 in San Marcos.
