Stats don’t tell whole story for Mustang baseball team, coach says
MARBLE FALLS — The joy on the faces of the Marble Falls High School baseball players symbolized how big the 2-1 victory was against Dripping Springs March 23.
The win means so much to the Mustangs (5-13, 1-3) for several reasons:
MARBLE FALLS — The stat box is deceiving, according to Marble Falls High School baseball coach David Norwood.
Though the Mustangs (4-13, 0-3) lost to Cedar Park 7-0 March 20, Norwood said his athletes played better than the score indicated.
Trailing 4-0, Marble Falls suffered a key injury that forced Norwood to use a pinch hitter with runners in scoring position.
