TTU general studies degree signups held
The deadline to apply for the spring semester is Dec. 1.
Students must first complete the core curriculum at a community college such as Austin Community College, Central Texas College (which has a branch in Marble Falls), Howard College or at a university.
The core curriculum consists of the basic college courses all Texas students need to graduate.
Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg, TTU at Highland Lakes and TTU Center at Junction offer the junior- and senior-level courses to complete the BGS, which includes three areas of concentration, rather than a major and a minor.
The multidisciplinary approach allows students to tailor their education to their career goals, officials said. Upper-division courses are delivered using a variety of methods and are scheduled for working students.
Texas Tech also offers the upper-division courses to complete an elementary education degree. This program begins each fall.

The TTU and CTC classes are held in the Frank Fickett Educational Center, 806 Steve Hawkins Parkway.
