Marsha Meeks Johnson, 84, went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Oct 26, 2026.

She was a wonderful mother and a dear friend to everyone she met during her life. She leaves behind a daughter, Christy. I loved her dearly!

She was born in Blanco, Texas in the courthouse on April 21, 1942 and was raised on a horse, just as her mother Christine Burdett.

She lived in San Marcos before moving to Wimberley where she ran the YMCA across the river from 7ARanch. After that she owned Stoney Ridge Stables and had a summer horseback riding camp. She began selling real estate and loved finding someone a home or a ranch they could enjoy with their family. She owned Wimberley Land Company but never lost her love for horses.

She eventually moved to Burnet and then to Bertram. She absolutely loved matching a person’s personality to the perfect horse. She loved teaching kids and adults everything they needed to know about riding and taking proper care of their horse. Her favorite rides were around Ruidoso, New Mexico, the Pikes Peak area, and Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado.

She was certainly one of a kind and loved by everyone she met. She was quite a character, full of laughter and had some of the most hilarious stories. She left a huge impression on this world and lived life to the fullest!
