The Marble Falls Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed a new class of business owners, government officials, and other local leaders for its fourth annual Leadership Highland Lakes program.

The eight-month program, which began on Sept. 2, will guide up-and-coming professionals through the intricacies of local government, arts, education, tourism, and business through trips to the Texas State Capitol and conversations with current Hill Country leaders.

“Leadership Highland Lakes is… about building connections, inspiring service, and equipping leaders to make a meaningful impact,” LHL Committee Chair Mitzi Birdsong said in a press release. “We want participants to leave Leadership Highland Lakes inspired to lead, serve, collaborate, and invest their talents in the communities they call home.”

During this year’s program, class members will contribute volunteer hours to local organizations, causes, and communities that are important to them through the new Lead It Forward project.
