City of Marble Falls mourns passing of Angie Atkinson

The city of Marble Falls announced the passing of longtime employee and colleague, Angie Atkinson, on Friday, July 24. Atkinson served the city for nearly three decades as its senior accountant.
For almost 30 years, Atkinson exemplified the very best of public service. Her unwavering integrity, exceptional work ethic, and servant’s heart earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
She was known not only for her expertise and professionalism, but for her genuine kindness, humility, and willingness to place the needs of others before her own.
“Angie represented the very best of what public service should be,” City Manager Caleb Kraenzel said in a press release. “Her quiet leadership, unwavering dedication, and selfless commitment to others made a lasting impact on our organization. She never sought recognition or praise; she simply served with excellence and humility. Our Marble Falls community and organization are better because of Angie, and her legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come.”
During this time of mourning, the city asks the community to join in keeping Atkinson’s family, friends, and colleagues in their thoughts and prayers.
“While we grieve this tremendous loss, we find comfort in our faith and in knowing that a life devoted to serving God, family, and community leaves a legacy that will endure for generations,” reads the press release. “The City of Marble Falls extends its deepest condolences to Angie’s loved ones and offers heartfelt gratitude for her nearly 30 years of faithful service to the citizens of Marble Falls. Her life was a testament to compassion, humility, and unwavering dedication. She will be remembered with gratitude, honored with respect, and missed beyond measure.”
In honor of Atkinson’s life and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Marble Falls or the American Heart Association, causes that were meaningful to her and her family.
A funeral service celebrating Atkinson’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 RR 1431 in Marble Falls. Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the community are invited to attend and join together in honoring her life and legacy.
