Marble Falls Baseball team to hold fundraiser, free camp
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School baseball program invites the community to two events to help start the 2011 season.
The Mustangs will conduct their annual hit-a-thon fundraiser 11 a.m. Feb. 5.
Residents are asked to pledge donations by the foot or a flat fee to help defray costs for the upcoming season.
Players will take five swings, and coaches will measure to determine which ball went the greatest distance.
In addition, the Booster Club will have T-shirts and hamburgers for sale.
Also, the Mustangs will host a free camp 1:30-4 p.m. Feb. 5 at Scearce Baseball Field, 2101 Mustang Drive.
Members of the 2011 squads will show children ages 9-14 proper throwing, fielding and hitting.
Parents and youth coaches are welcome to attend.
