Friends of Spicewood Community Library is calling on the community to help raise funds to complete work on the outer shell of its new library building. The group is seeking $60,000 in donations to cap the first two phases of the library.

The 6,000-square-foot facility, which is being built right behind the current library at 1011 Spur 191, is planned to include large reading spaces for patrons, expanded access to books and technology, and serve as a community gathering place in Spicewood.

“Our community has worked hard to make this project possible, and we are very grateful for the progress we have made,” FSCL President Beth Cottingham said in a press release. “We are now asking for help to finish this critical stage so the building can be secured and the project can continue moving forward.”

Friends of Spicewood Community Library invites the community and its partners to contribute towards completing the outer-shell phase of the building. Donations of $500 or more will be recognized on a prominent donor wall in the new library.

For more information or to donate to the construction efforts, visit the Spicewood Library website.
