Democratic congressional candidates to speak at HLDW meeting
Democratic candidates for U.S. congressional districts representing Burnet and Llano counties will be the guest speakers at the 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 meeting of the Highland Lakes Democratic Women.
The meeting will be held at the La Quinta hotel in Marble Falls, 501 FM 2147. A brown bag lunch will begin at noon and the actual meeting and presentations will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.
The guest speakers include:
- U.S. Congressional District 31 Democratic candidates Justin Early and Stuart Whitlow. District 31 includes Burnet County, which is currently represented by Republican John Carter.
- U.S. Congressional District 11 Democratic candidates Claire Reynolds and Pedro “Pete” Ruiz. District 11 includes Llano County, which is currently represented by Republican August Pfluger.
