Grace Norma Forrester, age 93, of Granite Shoals, Texas, flew into her Savior’s arms on Sunday evening, December 7, 2025.

Born on June 12, 1932, in San Saba, Texas, to Fred Monroe Hall and Lela Lee Anderson Hall, Grace was a graduate of San Saba High School. She began her career as a reporter for the San Saba News & Star. On December 22, 1953, she married the love of her life, Raymond Forrester, following him to Oklahoma during his Army service. The couple later moved to Houston, where Grace began a long and dedicated career with Exxon (then Humble Oil), retiring in 1993. Seeking a peaceful life closer to family, Grace and Ray moved to the Hill Country, settling in Granite Shoals.

Grace’s life was anchored in her faith. Raised in a religious family, she grew up attending San Saba Full Gospel. In Marble Falls, she was a devoted member of the First Assembly of God, where she built lasting friendships and blessed many lives through the years. Grace was a natural nurturer, finding her greatest joy in caring for relatives and friends. Her deepest desire was for a heavenly reunion with all those she loved.

Grace was the second of seven children and the last sister of her generation. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond; her parents; her sister, Johnnie Comer Adams; and her brothers, Jim, Charles, Warren, and Tommy.

She is survived by her youngest brother, Gordon Hall of Washington State; her cousin and longtime companion, Gary Dale Linn of Granite Shoals; her niece, Tammy Adams Dyer of Moline; her nephew, Ken Hall of Tennessee; and a community of extended family and many loving friends.

Grace never had biological children. However, those of us who were closest to her knew her as “Mom” or “Grandma Grace.” She loved us as deeply and genuinely as if we were her natural children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God in Marble Falls, officiated by Pastor Bob Weis and assisted by Pastor George Leader. The service will feature songs meaningful to Grace, including “Amazing Grace,” “12th of June,” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain.”

Grace and Raymond’s ashes have been interred at Wallace Creek Cemetery in San Saba County, near her parents.
