Judith Ann Rolls O’Connor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, at the age of 81.

Judy was born on December 19, 1943, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Margaret Elizabeth Blum and Wallace Rolls. She grew up surrounded by love, family, and strong Midwestern values that guided her throughout her life.

On August 25, 1962, Judy married the love of her life, Michael Francis O’Connor, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and service. In 1972, they moved to Marble Falls, Texas, where they established their roots for the next 45 years. Together, they opened Home Lite and Decor and O’Connor Electric—businesses that reflected their hard work and commitment to their community.

Judy was a remarkably talented and creative woman. She generously shared her gifts by teaching tole painting, papier-mâché, and countless other crafts to women’s groups, her church community, and 4-H children. She found joy in helping others discover their own creativity.

She and Mike were pillars of their community, serving for many years as 4-H leaders and as active members of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church parish. Judy was an active member of St. John’s Women’s Fellowship Ministry and always thinking of arts and crafts projects they could do, and taught many of them. She was a founding member of the St. John Prayer Blanket Ministry and also helped with the annual Fall Festival at St. John’s. Judy’s deep faith and loving spirit touched many lives.

In 2006 after retiring, they full-time RV’d for several years and landed at the Lake of the Ozarks. They then finally settled in Mount Pleasant to be closer to family.

Judy’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Michael; two children, DeAnn Sharp (Trey) and Jerry (Rebecca); daughter-in-law, Shannon; seven grandchildren, Siler (Kenzie), Seth, Connor (Melissa), Landon (Roxanne), Mariah (Jordan), Benjamin (Ashley), and Amy (Jeff); and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Henry, and Kaya. She was preceded in death by their first-born son, Lonnie; parents, Wallace and Margaret Rolls; and sister, Marie and Ted Sharp.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her boundless creativity, her unwavering faith, and the love she poured into her family and community.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 105 RR 1431 East in Marble Falls. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Road 4 South in Burnet. A reception will be held afterward at the Alexander Center at St John’s Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Judy’s memory be made to the St. John’s Prayer Blanket Ministry.

Judy’s life was a testament to love, service, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
