The Buckaroo Ball has a fundraising goal of $250,000 when it hits the dance floor this fall. The signature event for the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes is 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the YMCA of the Highland Lakes, 1602 U.S. 281 South in Burnet.

Proceeds from the evening of live music, food and drinks, live and silent auctions, and raffles will fund vital programs and services in the nonprofit club’s mission of empowering local youth through academic support, mentorship, and enrichment.

Those programs would not be possible without donations from the community and the Boys & Girls Club’s dedicated staff, who will be recognized during the ball.

“Our amazing staff members build meaningful relationships with our kids, help them succeed academically and personally, and provide a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued and heard,” Melissa Bohn, the club’s program and operations director, told DailyTrib.com. “The impact they have goes far beyond the club’s walls; it’s felt in schools, homes, and throughout the entire community.”

Tickets for the Buckaroo Ball are $125 a person. Sponsorship opportunities start at $1,000. Both can be purchased online.
