Lady Dawgs duke it out in tourney final
The Burnet High School volleyball team made a strong run at the Gatesville Tournament on Aug. 21 and 23. The Lady Dawgs tore through the initial rounds of competition, defeating Killeen, Cameron Yoe, and Gatesville before facing Troy in the final and losing two close sets. Some tournament stars of the Burnet squad were Grace Cullison with a whopping 30 kills across five games, Brooklyn Dawes with 60 assists, and Payton Smith with 49 digs.
