Faith Academy of Marble Falls recently appointed two staff members to new leadership roles. Rebekah Silvers was promoted to director of Academics, and Bami Wood is now director of Family Life.

DIRECTOR OF ACADEMICS

Silvers’ role at Faith Academy has expanded to include the new director of Academics position. She will continue to serve as the private Christian school’s elementary and sixth-grade principal while now leading efforts in curriculum planning, teacher support and supervision, student assessment, and accreditation compliance, according to a media release from Faith Academy, 3151 RR 1431 East in Marble Falls.

Silvers has a background in both traditional and University-Model® education systems, the latter of which is used at Faith.

After graduating from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2004, Silvers began her teaching career in the Leander Independent School District. In 2009, she transitioned to a University-Model system at Fortis Academy in Liberty Hill, where she was a second-grade teacher, principal, and eventually head of school.

Silvers joined the Faith Academy staff in 2018.

DIRECTOR OF FAMILY LIFE

Wood will work with Faith families to provide discipleship, training, encouragement, and Christ-centered support as the director of Family Life, strengthening the connection between school and home.

She has a diverse career background, which began in the global hospitality industry, where she helped open over 40 restaurants around the world and mentored young team members, according to a media release announcing her appointment. In 2007, she launched an interior design business. She later co-founded Mission Raise, a Christian-based nonprofit organization that assists teens. She remains the group’s executive director.

Wood started at Faith Academy in 2020, planning school events, attending mission trips, and serving on the school’s Board of Directors.
