Longtime Burnet resident Janie Cozby asked for a photo with the new Burnet Bulldog topiary on the town square in honor of her great-grandson’s May 22 graduation from Burnet High School, and DailyTrib.com obliged.

Cozby has lived in Burnet for 53 years and has two sons, five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren—with a 13th on the way. She said she never missed any of great-grandson Marcus Pimentel’s football games.

“I’m thrilled (that he is graduating), but I’m sad, too, because I won’t get to see him play football anymore,” she said. “Just praise the lord for everything that he has done for our children. That’s how I feel. We’re very, very lucky to live in Burnet, Texas.”

The city installed the giant artificial turf mascot Wednesday.
