Reading Unleashed at Marble Falls Library

Greer, a 5-year-old golden retriever, obviously can’t read, but she does love listening to the stories told to her during the Marble Falls Public Library’s Reading Unleashed program every Monday at 3:30 p.m. The pup with a peaceful presence listens quietly as children read aloud to her. Greer was meant to be a service animal, but a medical condition put an end to that, according to owner Bridget Johnson (pictured). She now serves in a different way, helping kids build confidence and literacy skills. For more on the Reading Unleashed program, visit the library at 101 Main St. or marblefallslibrary.org.
