One contested seat for LISD board

The Place 2 seat on the Llano Independent School District Board of Trustees is up for grabs in the May election with two candidates vying for the spot. Places 6 and 7 are also on the ballot, but the incumbents for those seats refiled and have no challengers.
Candidates who filled out paperwork to run during the Jan. 15-Feb. 14 filing window were:
Place 2
- Pamela Huston (new candidate)
- Christian Morgan (new candidate)
Incumbent Place 2 Trustee Lance Dillard chose to not file for re-election after serving on the board since 2016.
Place 6
- Paul Hull (incumbent)
Hull was appointed to fill the Place 6 vacancy in October 2022 and then elected to the seat in May 2023 to finish the current term.
Place 7
- Jeff Kuykendall (incumbent since 2016)
