A 46-year-old Granite Shoals man was killed in a head-on collision early March 16 on U.S. 281 south of Marble Falls. Two others were injured in the wreck, according to the Marble Falls Police Department.

Marble Falls police responded to the two-vehicle collision at about 6:50 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of U.S. 281 South. A Ford passenger car, traveling northbound in a southbound lane, collided with a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, according to police. 

The Ford’s driver, Jerardo Lanza-Buezo of Granite Shoals, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 47-year-old Wilmer Menzia, also of Granite Shoals, was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado, identified as James Nobles, 83, of Granite Shoals, was also transported to St. David’s with non-life-threatening injuries.
