Treats and tricks in the October 2021 issue of The Picayune Magazine

Don’t be afraid to open your October issue of The Picayune Magazine, despite the frightening but flavorful creations on the cover. Staff writer Jennifer Greenwell cooked a caldron of Halloween goodies to temporarily dismay and then delight little ones with a sweet tooth. We have all of the recipes and a few Halloween games to keep your celebrations in the spirit of family fun.

Turn the pages with care, however. You’ll also find a story about a horror movie inspired by Marble Falls and featuring a serial killer known as The Hogman. The writer and director is a Marble Falls High School graduate who fell in love with the horror genre while growing up here. The story is on page 14.
