BACK TO SCHOOL: Everything you need to know if your student attends BCISD campuses
The Bulldogs are back — well, officially on Monday, Aug. 20, the first of class for Burnet Consolidated Independent School District students. Many students, particularly at the high school, have already returned to school due to sports and band practices.
But it’s all about getting back in step the next couple of weeks as students, staff, and parents get ready for the big day.
You still have time to go school supply shopping. Don’t forget the sales-tax holiday is Friday-Sunday, Aug. 10-12.
Lists of school supplies can be found at burnetcisd.net under under “Latest News” in the Back to School News article. You can also find campus-specific school supply lists at the individual elementary and middle school campus websites.
The Burnet Back to School Bonanza, hosted by the Burnet Fire Department, is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at 2002 U.S. 281. It’s free for school-age children. There will be school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, immunizations, car seat checks, and more.

Bertram Elementary School
LOCATION: 315 Main St. in Bertram

REGISTRATION: New student registration is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and Friday, Aug. 10, at the school office. Contact the school about returning student registration, which was held earlier in August.

Shady Grove Elementary School
