Hubert Vaughn Howell, 86, of Llano died Feb. 24, 2018

Hubert Vaughn Howell passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, in Fredericksburg, Texas, at the age of 86. He was born June 15, 1931, to Lois (Fuqua) and Hubert Thomas Howell.

Hubert was a resident of Llano, Texas, for 26 years, since coming from Amarillo. He loved living on the Llano River, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers E.P. Howell, Earl Howell, and Derral Howell.

Hubert is survived by his brothers Gary Howell and wife Joni of Llano and Joe Howell of Spur; nieces, Ginger Woods, Kristi Hutson and husband Garrett, and Kyndel McLeod and husband Michael; nephews, Roper Howell, Jason Howell, Jay Howell, and Ervin Howell; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tanner Howell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Llano National Bank, 1001 Ford St., Llano, TX 78643.
