FROM STAFF REPORTS

MARBLE FALLS — KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune will be broadcasting the Marble Falls High School girls basketball team’s contest against Corpus Christi Flour Bluff in the Class 5A Region IV tournament. Listen to the game over the air or stream it at KBEYFM.com.

The two square off at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Northside Independent School District gym, 8400 N. 1604 West in San Antonio.

KBEY’s own Ben Shields and Jennifer Fierro will be on the air at 7:55 p.m.

This is a rematch of last year’s semifinal game, which Flour Bluff won 46-28. The Lady Hornets then defeated Austin High 48-41 in double-overtime to win the regional championship and advance to the Class 5A state tournament.

The winner of this year’s Marble Falls-Flour Bluff contest faces the winner of the Kerrville Tivy-Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial game, played just prior to the Lady Mustangs-Lady Hornets contest.

The regional championship game will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, also in the Northside ISD gym.

To advance to this contest, the Lady Mustangs (27-10 overall, 13-1 District 26-5A) defeated Austin LBJ 57-31, Richmond Foster 57-43, and Austin High 62-45.
