Mary Christine McCown Doubrava, 82, of Marble Falls died Jan. 11, 2018
Mary Christine McCown Doubrava of Marble Falls passed away Jan. 11, 2018. She was born in San Patricio County on Dec. 25, 1935, to Etta Lizetta Stein and George Wesley McCown III.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Gene Doubrava; sons, Randall Craig Doubrava and wife Rachel of Austin and Russell Gene Doubrava and wife Margaret of Decatur; grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Doubrava of Austin, Patrick Craig Doubrava of Austin, Willard Roy Doubrava of Decatur, Lillian Margaret Doubrava of Decatur, Mary Margaret Lucille Doubrava of Decatur, Charles Russell Doubrava of Decatur, Dillon Doubrava of Austin, and Callie Doubrava of Austin; and sister Fayetta Bender of San Patricio.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sister Inez McCown; and brothers, Francis McCown and George Wesley McCown IV.
After many years of service, Mary retired from the Killeen Independent School District as an administrative assistant. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary’s kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 105 RR 1431 in Marble Falls. Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in San Patricio.
