Nicholas Allen Rose Middleton, 24, of Llano, Texas, died April 23, 2017, in Llano. He was born on Jan. 8, 1993, in Austin.

He graduated from Ingleside High School in Ingleside, Texas, in 2011, having participated in tennis, track, and swimming. He previously attended school in Dripping Springs. He attended college and worked around the Austin area.

He had a passion for living life and was always there to lift someone up and help them if they were down. He would do anything for anyone and left a wake of happiness wherever he went.

Nick was a shining light in our lives that was diminished too soon.

Nick was an EDM DJ with multiple Macro Records releases. He has music on Sound Cloud and iTunes as Digital BPM, Nick Twist, and ZTwist. He played several music festivals and opened for countless artists over the years. Nick had a following of music lovers that saw him not just as an entertainer but as a friend, role model, and gifted artist in the local Austin music scene. He was gaining recognition as a talented musician in the EDM music world outside of Austin and even had a “world-renowned” DJ call him out on Twitter.

Recently, he was employed and loved by the staff at Joe’s Bar & Grill in Llano, and he loved them. His co-workers and customers quickly became friends and then family. He was looking forward to his next adventure in joining the Navy this summer.

Nick is survived by his twin brother, Bradley; parents, Tim and Kirsten Middleton; older brother, Thomas; younger sister, Abigail; grandparents Bettsye Rose, Jim and Tomi Middleton, and Ed and Rita Mabry; great-grandmother Lou Crothers; godmother Acacia Star Beauchamp; aunts and uncles Marnie and Chuck Schoenfeld, John and Iveth Mabry, Bert and Darlene Middleton, Steven and Cyndi Middleton, and Melissa and Brent Sutherland; cousins Steven, Richard, Calvin, Konnie, Kaylin and their spouses, and Eileen, Hannah, Jacob, Travis, Scott, and Blake; and many friends who were like family to him.

A celebration of life is noon-4 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the pavilion in Robinson Park, 100 Robinson Park Road in Llano. Food and drinks are being supplied.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Austin Pets Alive in Nick’s memory at: Austin Pets Alive, 1156 W. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78703

Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. Email whhfuneral1@verizon.net with condolences.
