Carolyn Joyce Meyers, 79, of Llano died March 8, 2017

Carolyn Joyce Meyers passed away March 8, 2017, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Medina, Texas, to Clarence Wallace Turner and Edna Eleanora (Sprott).

Carolyn was a resident of Llano for 46 years after moving from Seminole, Texas. She was an LVN with Llano Memorial Hospital, from which she retired.

Carolyn as preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Wallace Turner and Edna Turner; sister, Lucille Garrett; and husband, James A. Meyers.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Meyers and wife Gay, Mark Meyers and wife Donna, and Chris Meyers and wife Yvette; grandchildren, Matthew, Joe, Joey, Brandon, Bryan, Brett, Justin, and Clayton; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Erik, Grayson, Caleb, Savannah, Brave, Legend, Jason, and Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews from California.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. March 18 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with Richard Vandaventer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
