Richard Theo Grantham, 69, of Lake Buchanan area died June 16, 2016

Richard Theo Grantham
Richard “Rick” Theo Grantham was born on Dec. 21, 1946, and went home to join his heavenly father on June 16, 2016.
Rick grew up in the Waco area and graduated from University High School. He proudly served his country in the 101st airborne division of the Army in the mid-1960s.
Rick worked for Henna Chevrolet in Austin for more than 20 years and moved to the Lake Buchanan area in 1994.
When not watching NASCAR and pulling for the Earnhardts, Rick could be found fishing or hunting. Several years ago, Rick and his lovely wife, Linda, found a second home in Port O’Connor, where they fished tirelessly for the “Big One.” He could occasionally be found at the end of a shuffleboard table, outshooting his partner most of the time.
Rick is survived by his wife, Linda, of Buchanan Dam; son, Jimmy Loyd Grantham of Taylor; daughter, Renita Grantham Castillo and son-in-law Dave of Austin; stepson, David Hudler of Buchanan Dam; stepdaughter, Teresa Hudler and partner Cristi Thomas of Lake LBJ; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his fishing and hunting buddy, Sue Glover of Kingsland; along with a host of other dear friends and army buddies.
A celebration of Rick’s life is 11 a.m. July 8 at Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church, 100 Lillian Dean in Buchanan Dam. A lunch will follow at the Edgewater Resort recreation hall, 224 Winding Way off Texas 261 in Buchanan Dam.
