Joan H. Eaton, 71, passed away May 11, 2016.
She was born and raised in Briggs, Texas, to Kermit and Jacqueline Herring and was the librarian for the Oakala library for a number of years.
She and Arvis, her husband of 54 years, raised five children and have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Jacqueline Herring, and great aunt Ada Darnell.
Joan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arvis Eaton; children, Wayne Eaton and wife Leigh-Anne, David Eaton, Marilyn Mann and husband Don, Susan Cox and Jennifer Lopez and husband Craig; and grandchildren, Christopher Eaton and wife Audrey, Jacqueline Eaton, Charles Eaton, Allison Eaton, Samantha Eaton, Emily Eaton, Marian Lopez, Abigail Lopez, Joseph Lopez and Daniel Lopez.
