MARBLE FALLS — Spring means it’s time for spring cleaning, including getting rid of bulky trash.
While it might be easy to see what needs to be thrown out, finding a place that will take the trash can be more daunting. But the city of Marble Falls has the answer for residents: the annual Spring Clean-Up on April 18-22.
And Republic Services, in conjunction with the city, will even come by to pick it up.
From April 18-22, residents can drag these items to the curb in front of their homes on their normal trash days:
- old furniture
- appliances without freon
- yard waste
Residents are asked to bundle or put the items in boxes or bags.
The city won’t take:
- paint and thinners
- hazardous materials and liquids
- electronics, including batteries
- construction materials
Be sure to stay away from utilities, sidewalks and driveways and don’t block access to trash and recycle containers.
And if residents forget to have their bulky items near their curbs, it’s OK. They can drop them off at 2000 Colt Circle. And bring photo identification, a driver’s license or a utility bill to show proof of residency. The service is offered 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Sunday until April 24.
