Payton Rayne Martinez, 4, of Llano died April 5, 2016

Payton Rayne “Precious Payton” Martinez passed away April 5, 2016, in Llano, Texas, at the age of 4. She was born May 25, 2011, in Round Rock, Texas, to Emoryee (Berreles) and Omar Martinez Jr.

She loved watching YouTube videos, opening surprise blind bags, planting and picking flowers with her Mimi, digging for worms, long baths, strawberry ice cream, going to Mimi and Pawpaw’s, playing with her dog Peppa Pig, going to Journey Fellowship and tickling her favorite guy, James. Precious Payton also loved playing hide and seek, stomping bugs, treasure hunting, playing in the sand at her G’pa’s, going to the zoo, eating cheese dip at Rosita’s, visiting with Laurie and Steven, going to the ranch with her Susan, going to pre-K, playing with Jancie and Taylee and numerous other things.

Precious Payton is survived by her parents; two sisters, Hadlee (2) and Meadow (2 months) Martinez; grandparents Lisa Mansell and Dale White of Llano, Marco and Dora Berreles of Mason, Omar Martinez Sr. of Mason, Leonor Castillo, and Gracie Gonzales of Grand Prairie; two aunts Kaila and Shaila Martinez; three uncles Jason and Branson Berreles and Marcuss Martinez; cousins Jamarcuss, Arturo and Adlee; and numerous other family, including Susan Beaubien.

Precious Payton was preceded in death by great-grandmother Janice Owens Miller and Lance Ray Bankston.

Visitation is 9-11 a.m. April 16 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 11 a.m. with James Sanderson officiating. There will be a balloon release at the west end of the Badu Park immediately following the services.
