Barbara N. Oliver, 77, of Kingsland died Feb. 13, 2016
Barbara N. Oliver, 77, of Kingsland passed away Feb. 13, 2016. She was born to Ferry Franklin and Beth (Wilburn) Woods on Feb. 26, 1938, in Houston.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Don Oliver of Kingsland; son Monte Storrs and wife Yvonne of Kingwood; Sherry Travis and husband Wayne of Marble Falls; Kenneth Wayne Oliver and wife Taylor of Wills Point; David Oliver of Mesquite; grandson, Christopher Storrs; great-grandchildren, Lane and Dylan Travis; and sister, Sharon Neumann and husband Tom of Livingston.
Mrs. Oliver married Don Oliver on April 15, 1981, in Las Vegas. She was a faithful member of the First Cowboy Church of Burnet County. The highlight of her week was to attend on Sunday. She traveled across the United States with Don while he was truck driving. She navigated with a personal atlas and only traveled 500 miles a day before requiring an overnight stop.
Mrs. Oliver was a devout Christian and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Feb. 14 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 2 p.m. Feb. 15 with the Rev. Glen Hickman officiating. Cremation will follow at the funeral home.
