He was accepted to Northwestern University School of Dentistry, where he was a member of Psi Omega Fraternity and graduated in 1956.
He then served in the U.S. Air Force, held the rank of captain and was stationed in France at Chambley Air Force Base. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he went into private practice in the northern suburbs of Chicago. He enjoyed spending weekends for 35 years with family and friends at their home on Key Allegro Island in Rockport. Many fond memories were had with loved ones fishing, hunting and working on the many projects he always undertook with vigor.
Upon his retirement, he and Marilyn made many new friends in Horseshoe Bay and took to traveling the world, having spent time in Africa, Australia, China, Fiji, New Zealand and Russia and throughout the United States.
Jack reacquainted himself with his golf clubs in retirement and enjoyed two holes-in-one in his 70s with his tried and true method of “swing as hard and as fast as you can” methodology.
A service is 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27 conducted by Father Ruben Patino at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 201 Dalton Circle in Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the church.
