Ouida Faye CogginOuida Faye Coggin died unexpectedly Jan. 8, 2016. She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Coleman County, Texas, to Roy and Naomi Polk.

She is survived by husband Bill Coggin; brothers, Joel “Scooter” Polk and wife Charlesette and Larry Polk; daughter, Brenda Coats and husband Frank; son, Gary Henson and wife Mary; stepson, Bill Coggin and wife Jo; stepdaughter, Patricia McKinney and husband Rick; grandchildren, Shane Roach, Elizabeth Cosser, Ashley Phillips, Erik Henson, Brad Henson, Eric McKinney, Mark McKinney, Paul McKinney, Ryan Coggin, T.J. Coggin and Kelsey Coggin; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Ouida was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Naomi Polk, and husband George Roach.
A service is 2 p.m. Jan. 13 at First Baptist Church in Stanton.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss! Me and my family went to the Kingsland Community Church, as did Ouida. We loved her SO much…..what a wonderful, Christ-filled woman!

    She will be missed.
