Melba Florene Harden, 78, of Llano died Dec. 9, 2015

Melba Florene Smith Harden passed away Dec. 9, 2015. She was born Oct. 6, 1937, to Freddie and Flora Smith in Winters, Texas.
She was a resident of Llano, Texas, for more than 50 years and a member of Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the movies, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. Melba was an LVN at Llano Memorial Hospital for more than 15 years.
Melba is survived by her sons, Timmy and Tony Harden, both of Llano; daughter, Patti Harden of Llano; sister Peggy Lockhart of Llano; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Shane Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, McKayla and Grant Harden, and great-grandchildren, Layla and Wesley Harden.
She was preceded in death by husband, Beverly Harden; brother, Freddie Smith; and sister, Darlene Nobles.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Dec. 11 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A graveside service is 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at Llano City Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Sawyer officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Miller, Steve Landers, Otto Rusche, Nelson Dahl, Walter Roberts, Bill Anderson, Shane Smith and Bobby Chitwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Llano Volunteer Fire Department.
