MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School senior offensive lineman Ryan Becker has been nominated for the inaugural Subway Super Team.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football partnered with Subway to recognize the best high school football players in the state.
The list was originally 3,000 but has been trimmed to 300. Former teammate Brennen Wooten, a quarterback who just finished his final year at San Angelo Central, also made the list of 300.
Also on the list from District 25-5A are running backs Travis Brannan of Leander Vandegrift and Isaiah Villager of Cedar Park Vista Ridge; Vandegrift receiver Paxton Segina; and Cedar Park defensive back Jav Guidry.

Becker said he “votes as much as I can. My mom (Tracy) tries to remind me to go vote.”
He played left tackle for the Mustangs and was regarded as one of the top at his position during district play. Most of the run plays were to the left to take advantage of the blocking on that side of the line.
Becker looks to improve on his third-place finish in the discus at the 2015 Class 5A state track-and-field meet, where he marked 164 feet and 10 inches.
After that, it’s off to Southern Methodist University, where he has committed to play football.
