Ella Louise Mastin, 92, of Sunrise Beach Village, Texas, formerly of Kingsville, died Nov. 25, 2015. She was born to Henry T. and Thelma Louise (Updegraff) Jamison on Oct. 22, 1923, in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Mrs. Mastin worked as a secretary to the Secretary of the Kansas State Federation of Labor and the Sinclair Refining Co. She also was a secretary at the Kingsville Independent School District for 19 years.

She met her husband, Walter, when he was stationed in Coffeyville in the U.S. Army Air Corp. After Walter retired, they moved from Kingsville to Sunrise Beach Village. She was a member of the Federated Church.

Mrs. Mastin is survived by her daughter Margaret Louise Butts and husband Jimmy of Kingsville; son, Walter E. Mastin Jr. and wife Michelle of San Antonio; grandchildren, Patrick and Sean Mastin,  Terry Frels, Brian Frick and Michael Butts, all of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Reed Frels and Josephine Frick; sister, Doretha Bowser and husband Larry of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and daughter Patricia Frick.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Nov. 30 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 10 a.m. Dec. 1 at the Federated Church, 117 W. Lakeshore Drive in Sunrise Beach Village with the Rev. John Alsup officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Mountain Cemetery, Circle Drive in Sunrise Beach Village.
