Evelyn Marie (Barding) Colclasure, 74, of Kingsland died Sept. 21, 2015

Evelyn Marie (Barding) Colclasure passed away Sept. 21, 2015, at the age of 74 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Ramsey, Illinois. She was one of five children born to Floyd and Stella (Rodefelt) Barding.
Evelyn attended Pana High School in Pana, Illinois, before marrying Richard Dean Colclasure in 1959. She lived in France, Germany, California, Kansas and Illinois before settling in Texas.
She was a lover of flowers and an avid gardener. She held numerous jobs, including milking cows and running a trucking business while maintaining her excellent cooking skills. Her homemade bread and vegetable soup was unequaled by anything.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsland and loved her church family, friends and neighbors. She was a kind and gentle person, caring for and about others all of her life. She loved all of her family and was a wonderful “Granny” who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Dean Colclasure of Kingsland; son Kent Colclasure and wife Rochelle of Comanche; daughters, Karen Mogonye and partner Micheal Jeffords of Fort Myers, Florida, and Kathy Tribble and husband Bradley of Llano; sister Catherine Birkey and husband Darrell of Delavan, Illinois; and brothers, Paul Barding of Casey, Illinois, and Raymond Barding and wife Patty of Decatur, Illinois. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Stella Barding; son Andre Colclasure; and sister Junie Barding.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at First Baptist Church of Kingsland with Pastor Bubba Stahl officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the kindnesses of her friends, neighbors, church and doctors over the years.
