Jacob Lee Mezger, 90, a lifelong resident of Marble Falls, passed away July 9, 2015, of natural causes. He was the son of Henry Mezger and Jesse Burnham Mezger.

In his lifetime, he loved hunting and archery. He was a member of the Marble Falls City Council. He worked for Texas Granite Corp. for 39 years. He was a crane operator when the dams were being built.

In 1949, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Kookie” Manley. They were both very active members of First United Methodist Church. We will celebrate their lives together on Friday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m., at FUMC in Marble Falls.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kookie. Survivors include his brother, Clayton Mezger and wife Rocky; son, Eric Mezger and wife Pat; daughter, Elaine Kurio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
